Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. Kiwanis and its youth-oriented Service Leadership Programs serve communities in more than 70 countries and geographic areas. Founded in 1915 in Detroit, Michigan, Kiwanis International now comprises 600,000 members — men, women boys and girls — worldwide.

Our members develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds and raise funds for pediatric research. We help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged and care for the sick. Working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. And along the way, club members share friendship and laughter. Annandale Kiwanis Club is a chartered club of Kiwanis International and our members are committed to fulfilling the organization's ideals within our own community.
